I will select some of my best work to be showcases here.

IDF GOLANI BRIGADE - Signaller

Armoury Golani Paratrooper gear mostly used here. The mesh of the helmet was removed and weathered. The Signal set from 21C with self made handset cord from wire wrapped in black paper strip. The curl was achieved running the wire over a toothpick The carrying rack was made from plastic rod with rectangular x-section, nylon strips of approx 5mm width running round the rack holding the Signal set in place. Goggles from BBi and boots from DML US WWII Airborne trooper. The riffle is an M16 from DML.

This kitbash depicts a late 80's IDF Golani trooper in one of their many training in the Sinai desert.

IDF GOLANI BRIGADE - SAW Gunner

Armoury IDF Golani set in general. Addition of DML Lynn's backpack and a DML SAS set SAW. The boots were that of DML WWII Airborne boots. The goggle from HotToys.

The FN Minimi was actually used in the IDF in the late 80s through early 90s albeit in a small number. The reason for it not getting distributed widely is due to Israel's policy (or is it law??) to used indigenious weaponary. Hence when the LMG Negav came around, the Minimi was dropped.

This bash depicts a IDF Golani paratrooper in maneouvre training on the Sinai desert in the late 80s.

IDF GOLANI BRIGADE - GPMG Gunner

Armoury set again. Boots are from DML US WWII Airborne and the GMPG is actually US M249 with removed forward hand guards.

I have seen a picture of a rolled up sleeve GPMG gunner who also sling his Galil Assault riffle in another shoulder. This bash was build inspired from that picture.

This bash depicts a MG Gunner from the infamous IDF Golani Paratrooper Brigade in training on the Sinai Desert in the late 80s.

FALLSCHIRMJAGER DIV 5 - Ardennes Offensive

(Uploaded on 04 June 2004)

Dragon Model Heinrich Zimm had arrived in Singapore last week. Being a USA Dragon exclusives, we are lucky to get it here in Singapore albeit in a very small qty. Needless to say, with my meagre wallet size, I hesitated to pay for one of those and I have kicked myself since when all ran out in a matter of hours. Oh well...

I got BBi's version as a consolation - sort of - and I can count myself lucky to still be able to have one of it after so long of its release. Quickly take it out to play once I hit home. Shall not do a preview here but I have to comments on how excellent this piece is produce that only the altered Nazi logo kills the icing on it. As I wanted to virtually ":wrapped" up this guy in layers of clothings, I change away its original nude body and used a DML Windtalker's Ox Henderson (aka Christian Slater). Turns out pretty good the effect. All other gear from the box.

D.A.K. FELDGENDARMERIE

I'm a keen collector of both modern soldier and soldier of yesteryear. Am particular keen on the WWII Desert theatre. This bash depicts a Deutcsh Afrika Korp's Feldgendarmerie (military police) geared up in motorcyclist outfit. I would say all the gear are taken from BBi's offering except for the gorget which is from DML. The nude is DML Uwe with oil washed face. Now I would just have to wait for a 21C BMW sidecar to complete him.

DELTA FORCE - Desert Operation

I'm bonkers over troopers in desert garb / gear. Here is another depicting a Delta Force soldier in Desert Operation. No particular theater of war to paste this onto, therefore you decide.

This guy is made up of many various gear from different brands ranges from DML to BBi to Hot Toys to Toysoldier. It'll be tough to list down everything in detail, so I'll let you look at the picture and guess its gear.

US 101st Airborne - Operation Anaconda

Helmet from 21C and drapped on with cloth strips. NVG holder from DML and helmet inner liner and chin strap from DML. Goggle, green balaclava and watch cap from BBi. Blouse, MOPP Pants, LBV and web belt items from DML. Radio and mike from DML and boots are weathered DML brown sole desert boots. Gas mask bag from DML. 101st arm tab is custom made. The nude used is a DID body with Hot Toys SWAT Ver 1.0 "Keanu Reeves" headsculpt.

This kitbash depicts a 101st Airborne trooper participating in Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan.

US 3rd INFANTRY - Operation Iraqi Freedom

Helmet used from BBi metal Kevlar with DML 3C helmet cover. Goggle and NVG mount from DML. BDU and boots from BBi. Interceptor vest, backpack, web belt gear and knee pads from DML. Y-Harness self made. Buttpack from Toysoldier. BBi Jackson nude with yellow gloved hands. E-tools from 21C.

I hope I capture the look of an everyday grunt. Just one thing I'm not too sure is if the infantry division received tan Coyote Interceptor vest cos I don't think I have ever seen one in picture having those vest on. Mostly, they are using the woodland camo type. Leads me to wonder if the Coyote are exclusives to USMC?

US 82nd AIRBORNE "All American" - Operation "MONGOOSE", Afghanistan

Helmet 21C refitted with DML 3C cover and mesh. NVG holder from DML and goggle from Hot Toys. BDU and Interceptor vest from DML, boots and knee pads from BBi. LBV, web belt and items from DML except M4/16 Mag pouches from 21C. Web belt extension from DML Kevin Anderson. M4 from BBi. The nude figure from BBi Jerry Ellis.

This kitbash feature a typical 82nd Airborne guy in Operation "MONGOOSE" in Afghanistan. The arm patch was printed with my trustee Epson Inkjet printer.

PARARESCUE JUMPER - PJ

I was inspired by HotToys (HT) showing their version of the PJ and quickly dig out my "Yummy Box" for appropriate gear to make my own. Hoping that I can make a satisfactory one hence saving the money on the real McCoy.

The helmet was taken from DML PJ Jose and repainted Desert yellow with added velcro strips. The boom mike was custom made. I will list down the main gear here and that includes the Armour vest from BBi PJ, BDU and SPEAR Harness from BBi Raptor. Woodland 3day backpack from DML and boots from BBi Tony Bishop. Glove from BBi PJ Bones.

US ARMY Military Advisor - GREEN BERET

(Uploaded on 04 June 2004)

I was looking at my cohort of figures and noticed that many of them looks great - before - but not anymore now. Therefore I started pulling them out from their punishing 7/24 standing pose and do a little upgrade slowly.

This guy used to be a nondescript US SF but I have decided to give him a name and a branch of operations. Basically, I just added on a Toysoldier Molle Grenadier vest and an ACE Woodland Buttpack. Changed away the nude to that of BBi Urban Digicamo guy (not remember the name) and the rest are pretty much generic / older gear. Have also decided to give him a name "Mark McGee". This name sounds familiar to me at first and I finally remember that this name belongs to a Scottish soccer player in the 80s. I think he played for Glasgow Celtic... or was it Rangers?? I'm old LOL!!

DEATH STAR TROOPER

Way before Hasbro release their *duh* looking 12 inch DST. Actually this is a full custom like the Rebel Fleet Trooper but I had never perfected the belt and the pants. Therefore when Hasbro releases its version of DST, I bought one to salvage his pants and well... belt.

I made the helmet GI Joe helmet as a base and stylene sheet for the flap. Pretty much like the method I employ for the RFT. I used a pair of DML SDU glove and painted it gloss black and the nude is that of BBi Chopper - changed over recently. The very first incarnation is a GI Joe pin-head body
